Direct From England. You will love adding this beautiful platter to your blue and white collection. We purchased this piece from one of our sources near Staffordshire, England. The original kilns that fired this piece before the turn of the century are no longer in use, but they do have a museum housing several of the two story bottle shaped ovens where platters and other pottery pieces were fired in the 1800s and early 1900s.
Staffordshire light blue transferware oval scalloped platter. Transfer is the popular Asiatic Pheasants pattern from 1862-1868. It is a design with two pheasants and a butterfly around peonies and other Asian flowers. Marked on the back on the edge of the Scalloped Platter.
